Two persons caught over planting hemp

The Abu Dhabi Police arrested two Asians on charges of planting 37 hemp shrubs on a farm in the city of Al Ain in an operation dubbed “Farm of Death.”
The Abu Dhabi Police received information that an Asian man had planted cannabis plants on a farm and equipped a room for drug abuse.
The police initiated investigations to verify the information and put the suspect under surveillance through a competent task force.
The necessary legal measures were taken to seize the suspect after locating the farm. It was raided by the security team, where they arrested two men and seized the hemp bushes.
The Abu Dhabi Police called on the public to cooperate with police officers to curb drugs and prosecute its peddlers and consumers, urging community members not to hesitate to report any actions that they suspect via 999 or 8002626.
