Dar Al Bar Society, in cooperation with the Dubai Municipality, has launched a unique humanitarian initiative, “Suqaya Al-Tair” (Birds’ Quench), as part of the “Year of Tolerance” projects, in light of the sharp rise in temperature and humidity during the summer.
Abdullah Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, Executive Director of Dar Al Ber Society, pointed out that the charity initiative is based on the distribution of “water cans” in 100 parks in Dubai during the summer. He said the door is open to people for participation in this noble initiative. They can donate to the project by depositing money in the account named ‘Dar Alber’ at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (10068346). They can also call (80079) to receive birds’ water cans.
Al Falasi said, “The initiative takes into account the values and principles of compassion towards birds by providing them with drinking water in compliance with the values of our true religion, and in accordance with the directives and vision of the prudent leadership in this direction.”
Dar Al Ber is considered one of the first charities in the UAE. It was established in Dubai in 1399 Hijri, 1979 AD as per the ministerial decree No. (23/78) issued by the Ministry of Social Affairs as a charity, cultural & social firm. Dar Al Ber Board of Directors has been formed according to the directives and decisions of His Highness, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
Dar Al Ber Society carries humanitarian projects throughout the year. The Society’s branch in RAK, during the Holy Month of Ramadan, launched ‘The Sustenance of Tolerance initiative’, to provide Ramadan foodstuff (Meer) to underprivileged, benefiting benefited 755 families from Ras Al Khaimah and its residents.
Ali Abdullah Al Shehi, Director of Dar Al Ber Branch in Ras Al Khaimah, said that they launched another event addressed “Eid Feast” for the children in addition to purchases vouchers (coupons) from UAE’s markets in Ras Al Khaimah.
