Happiness Centre employee jailed for embezzling Dh104,000

A government employee has been sentenced to six months in jail by Ras Al Khaimah Criminal Court for embezzling Dh104,000.
The female Gulf National forged various promotion permits over several weeks.
According to investigations the woman abused her power as a customer happiness centre worker.
She collected money from different organisers of campaign but issued undocumented papers.
Based on the indictment sheet, the woman was charged with forging documents, making use of counterfeit document and squandering public funds.
Aside being sentenced to jail, the suspect has been fined the sum of Dh104,000.
