Ten Social Development Centres all over the UAE under the Ministry of Community Development have been engaging a large number of young children with various learning and entertainment activities.
The aim of the programme was to inculcate communication skills, interaction and harmony among children, youth, volunteers and senior citizens in a family atmosphere, through the development initiatives and community partnership.
The summer programme is full of events and initiatives addressed to all the segments of the society, family, senior citizens and school students, people of determination and other community groups.
Hessa Bint Essa Buhumaid, UAE Minister of Community Development, participated with the social development centres in the summer programme activities which began on July 1 and continues till Aug.8 in all the ten social development centres all over the UAE.
She attended a series of events, programmes and activities which were organised by the social development centres and held at Um Al Quwain social development centre and participated with school students, senior Emiratis, volunteers, younger generations and the members of the community in different activities aimed at consolidating the values of indigenous community, promoting behavioural culture and enhancing the traditions and cultures of the Emirati society.
She expressed her admiration for the quality of the events achieved by the (10) social development centres all over the UAE, through development initiatives and community partnership, communication, interaction and harmony among children, youth, volunteers and senior citizens in a family atmosphere.
The summer programme and activities of the social development centres were distributed over (6) topics: “recycling,” “creativity and innovation,” “happiness,” “activity and movement,” “family cohesiveness” and “proper financial planning.”
