Dewa celebrates nursery graduation

A group of 55 children of Dewa’s nurseries’ employees have graduated to complete their academic year fulfilling the requirements to move on to kindergarten.

A ceremony to observe the graduation of the 55 children was held recently and was attended by Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dewa, and Dr Yousef Al Akraf, Executive Vice President of Business Support and Human Resources at Dewa.

In a study conducted, 98.78% of the female employees expressed happiness at the level of care and education provided by Dewa’s nurseries to their children, in addition to the positive attitude and welfare they enjoyed by being next to their children in the workplace.

“In line with the directives of our wise leadership, and our strategy to ensure the comfort and happiness of our employees, we are committed to providing an ideal, stimulating, and happy work environment for our female employees, which contributes to their emotional, familial, and career stability. Dewa established its first nursery in 2010 to support this goal. Our nurseries aim at enhancing employee productivity, improving their performance at work, and benefitting society as a whole. These nurseries operate according to the highest international standards of modern education. The assigned teachers and supervisors are highly qualified and keen on developing the mental abilities of the children through various educational and recreational activities that contribute to children’s learning,” said Al Tayer.

“Dewa was one of the first government organisations to establish nurseries in support of working mothers, and today, it has the largest number of nurseries compared to other Dubai government entities. Notably, the nursery at Dewa’s Head Office accommodates 40 children, the Sustainable Building at Al Qouz accommodates 48 children, and Dewa’s Al Warsan Centre accommodates 102 children. A total of 345 children have graduated from Dewa’s nurseries to date,” said Al Akraf.
