Police honour Al Khaleej photographer

The Sharjah Police Commander-in-Chief, Maj. Gen. Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, has honoured Alsayed Ramadan Alsayed, a photographer from Al Khaleej newspaper, in recognition of the great effort made by him in cooperation with the Sharjah Police.

Maj. Gen. Al Shamsi praised the important role of press and journalists working in various fields, and in collaboration with the Police to spread the necessary traffic and security awareness among members of the society.

In addition, he emphasised the keenness of the Sharjah Police General Directorate to work side by side with all partners to maintain and constantly enhance the services provided to the UAE community. Besides that, Maj Gen. Al Shamsi paid tribute to the efforts made by the photographer Alsayed Ramadan in covering the numerous events and community activities carried out by Sharjah Police.

Alsayed expressed warm thanks and appreciation to the Sharjah Police General Directorate for honouring his efforts.

Recently, Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, issued a decision promoting 241 non-commissioned officers and individuals to the ranks that follow their current ones in line with the Sharjah Police local law and its amendments.

The decision included promotion of two bachelor’s degree holders to the rank of First Sergeant and five high school graduates to the rank of First Policeman. Marking the occasion, Al Shamsi thanked His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Sharjah Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler, for their continued support of Sharjah Police and their great interest in following up the affairs of Sharjah Police personnel and their keenness on ensuring their stability and career development, enabling them to exert maximum efforts to serve their homeland and carry out their duties in such a manner that responds to the ambitions and aspirations of their wise leadership. Furthermore, the Commander-in-Chief of the Sharjah Police congratulated members of the police force and the promoted officers, expressing his best wishes and hopes for them.
