Employees of the Federal government with school going children will be granted three hours off work during the first week of the academic term, the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources has announced.
This is due to the UAE cabinet agenda that promotes employees' active participation in their children's school activities.
Employees will be allowed to seek permission to leave early or report late, so they can attend their wards graduation ceremonies.
The decision follows the recommendations made by the National Programme for Happiness and Postivity and the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources.
