An Employee of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners' Affairs stood trial at the Dubai Court of First Instance for allegedly forging a passport.
The 36-year-old Emirati dabbled with data and used the passport of a Filipino man to forge a passport for an Iranian.
The Iranian confessed to paying Dhs85,000 to a Syrian woman and an Egyptian manager to secure a residence visa.
Alongside the GDRFA employee, the man and woman are also standing trial for criminal complicity.
The trial has been adjourned to Sept.16.
