Tawam Hospital's pediatric intensive care unit rescued a 3-year-old Emirati girl after her parents forgot her in a vehicle for 4 hours.
As a result, the victim suffered severe heat stress, convulsions, high brain pressure and then fell into coma.
Dr Nidal Al Hashaikha, head of the department, explained the victim was admitted in the emergency department of Tawam Hospital in a deep coma and other health complications.
He added the medical team immediately subjected her to accurate medical and laboratory tests and MRI scans.
Al Hashaikha pointed out that she was out of danger within 48 hours, and her health and nervous condition began to improve gradually.
He added she left intensive care unit to the pediatric department on Aug.24 to complete her treatment programme.
For his part, the child's grandfather said his granddaughter was with her family on a family visit, and the family inadvertently left her alone inside the car.
