The Department of Community Development Abu Dhabi will be organising an event to give licence to 18 non-Muslim places of worship, on Sept.22, 2019, at the Emirates Palace Hotel.
The decision was taken under the slogan ‘A Call for harmony.’
It aims to have all worship centers under one umbrella.

According to the authorities, granting licence to these institutions will be in line with Abu Dhabi’s slogan of peace, tolerance and coexistence.
The DCD has created legal frameworks, policies and procedures that will ensure the rights of citizens to practice their religions seamlessly.
Conditions to be met, before a worship institution can obtain licence has been communicated to religious figures.
