The Russian spacecraft carrying Hazzaa Al Mansoori of the United Arab Emirates, who was accompanied by Russia's Oleg Skripochka and NASA astronaut Jessica Meir, docked at ISS on Wednesday after a six-hour trip.
In Dubai, a crowd gathered at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre to watch the launch, erupting in cheers and dubbing Mansoori a national hero. Some carried UAE flags. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Chairman of the MBRSC witnessed the launch live from the centre.

Sheikh Hamdan shared a video on his Instagram account showing Sheikh Mohammed in cycling gears making a stop on a cycling track to follow the Hazzaa’s lift-off. Sheikh Hamdan captioned the video,
“Zayed’s dream comes true.” Referring to the father of the nation, the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, whose vision of the leadership to make the country a leading player in shaping the world’s future.
The video of the Dubai Ruler went viral. It garnered over 634,000 views on the social media platform.
