VIDEO: Dust swirls, hailstorms hit Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said on Friday that dust swirls were spotted in Ras Al Khaimah.
The country also witnessed heavy rain and hailstorms in Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah.
In Ras Al Khaimah’s Kadra area, dust swirls were spotted. NCM shared videos showing towering dust swirls over the ridges in wet and windy conditions.
The NCM has indicated that the weather on Saturday will be partly cloudy at times and cloudy over the northern areas by evening and night, with a probability of convective clouds formation over the mountains.
Humid by night and Sunday morning over some areas, with a chance of fog and mist formation. Moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust, with a speed of 20 –30, reaching 40 km/hr. Sea will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.
Humid by night and Monday morning especially over the western areas. Moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds, freshening at times, with a speed of 20–32, reaching 45km/hr. Sea will be moderate, becoming rough at times, especially northwards in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.
The weather on Monday is expected to be cloudy with a chance of convective clouds formation accompanied by rainfall especially east and northwards. Moderate easterly to southeasterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust and sands, with a speed of 20 –30, reaching 45 km/hr. Sea will be moderate to rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.
Last month, The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) is marking the Arab Meteorological Day on 15th of September, which is observed this year under the theme 'Meteorology and Protection of Lives and Properties'.
