Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, shared a video of driving in the rain in Dubai on his Instagram account.
The Dubai Crown Prince is seen driving around in his what appears from the video Mercedes G63 as someone from the rear seat.
It is not clear where the video was shot, but Sheikh Hamdan captioned the clip, “Rain, rain Dubai” with cloud emojis.
Heavy rain was witnessed in several areas of UAE on Monday morning, bringing the temperature down by a few notches.
Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Dubai, Sharjah and Al Ain and adjacent areas received moderate to heavy rainfall. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) shared videos showing flooded streets and surface runoffs.
Traffic remained normal and there were no accidents reported.
The rain was accompanied by thunderstorms that led to uprooting of a number of trees and plastic barriers used in construction operations.

In addition, a number of billboards installed on the main streets and shops and umbrella car parking shades of a number of institutions in Fujairah reportedly collapsed due to the bad weather.
In Khorfakkan, the NCM also reported rain and thundershowers.

On Friday, the NCM spotted dust swirls in Ras Al Khaimah, particularly in the Kadra area.
The NCM shared videos showing towering dust swirls over the ridges in wet and windy conditions.
Maj. Gen. Mohammed Ahmed Bin Ghanem, Commander-in-Chief of Fujairah Police, said that the downpour caused material damage in many locations due to the strong winds that accompanied the rainfall. A number of trees were uprooted and billboards blown away, in addition to damaging shops in one of the popular markets in Fujairah city.
He confirmed that it did not result in major traffic accidents except for a few minor incidents, pointing out that several traffic and security patrols had been deployed in the affected areas.
In the meantime, the Public Works Department in the emirate in coordination with the Fujairah Municipality proceeded with clearing the wreckage caused by the thunderstorms and draining rainwater that flooded the roads and yards. The conditions are currently stable in the emirate, he added.
Rehabilitation
Eng. Mohammed Saif Al Afkham, Director General of Fujairah Municipality, announced the civic body's intention to rehabilitate the popular market in Fujairah after the downpour caused major damage to it on Saturday morning.
He pointed out that the Municipality’s teams have been deployed in the souq since early morning on Saturday with their equipment to clear the debris.
Al Afkham noted that the municipal teams removed trees and billboards, while in coordination with the Public Works Department the water tankers removed the water that accumulated in the streets and roundabouts.
Meanwhile, the municipality of Sharjah has confirmed that it has proceeded with dealing with the weather conditions that prevailed in the various areas of the city early on Saturday morning, including a thunderstorm.

The Municipality announced its full readiness for weather fluctuations with a systematic and thoughtful plan and necessary measures to deal with rainwater pools and all emergencies that may occur in order to preserve the safety of lives and property, and ensure smooth traffic for residents and visitors.
