Sharjah film project opens voting for the public

The UAE Entertainment Experience urges the public to vote through its platform on the 4th phase films, the first of its kind project to produce the first crowdsourced film in the UAE and Arab world. The project achieved remarkable success and attracted a large group of talents from across the UAE.

The 4th phase witnessed great progress in terms of quality of cinematography by all the participating teams, with a number of action scenes demonstrating the skills gained by teams from the training courses and the one on one mentorship sessions offered by the technical teams and the management of this unique project.

Dr Khalid Omar Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Media City (Shams), said, “We are striving to identify and develop talents and to nurture human resources from all media sectors. In addition, we are seeking to develop the film industry infrastructure in all creative and technical areas of film production, while providing a favourable environment for creativity.”

He added that Shams organisation is pleased to invite the public to vote for the participating films in the UAE Entertainment Experience. This will pave way for the production of the UAE film, “Under the Sun.”

Dr Mustafa Alaidaroos, Chief Operating Officer of the UAE Entertainment Experience, thanked the management of Sharjah Media City for their efforts in training and developing the local young talents in producing the first Emirati crowdsourced film.

“This experience will be a breakthrough in the UAE filmmaking industry and will encourage more young people to start their career in various fields of cinema,” Dr Mustafa said.

The UAE Entertainment Experience is a unique project, in which a team of creative filmmaking professionals inspire and provide training to creative talents dreaming to enter the world of cinema.

Earlier this year, Sharjah Media City (Shams) officially launched the UAE Entertainment Experience.
