Zen Film Productions, an independent film production company in Dubai, has announced the launch of its first ever Youth Vlog Awards to be held in Dubai on November 21.
The event was chaired by Zenofer Fathima, an actor and founder of Youth Vlog Awards and Zen Films Production along with actor and celebrity TikTok sensation Parvez Kazi and Moe Money, a lifestyle influencer.
Youth Vlog Awards provides a platform that aims to acknowledge digital enthusiasts aged 8 years to 35 years in the UAE and a competition to honour their talents with a range of prizes. The main awards will have the 3-jury members joined by Bollywood actor Sonu Sood and several other celebrities that will be announced shortly.
Zenofer Fathima told Gulf Today that the very reason we, Zen Film Productions, came up with the Youth Vlog Awards, is because we believe that if given an opportunity to thrive, anything be it person or an idea — can make a difference.
“That is just what we’ve done in the past and in recent times we have created 9 short films under the Enigma series, all examining innovative social themes that not many think about, but somehow. It resonates with them,” she added.
“With the Youth Vlog Awards, we have now scaled to new heights — while still coinciding with our belief that anyone can thrive when given the right opportunity.” She mentioned that the main concept behind Youth Vlog Awards was to provide a platform to our younger generations and promote our youth, who due to many reasons are unable to post good contents in order to get feedback and more followers.
Zenofer announced the details about the upcoming competition. She mentioned that every one below aged 18 and between aged 19 to 35 are allowed to participate in the competition. In round one every participant must submit a video spanning less than one minute and they can submit any kind of content they want. Entries that are short-listed from round one would then proceed to round two. Those who qualified would be informed by email or via social media. Round two would be drastically different from round one as participant would have to create a video on a fixed topic given by Youth Vlog Awards team. Round three would be a final round in which all who are shortlisted from round two will have to create a video for which the theme and topic of the video would be presented by Youth Vlog Awards team and would be related to UAE. These videos from both aged groups would be presented on the final day and the judging panel will assess the videos and will choose two winners from both age categories. The winners will receive a cash prize and exclusive gifts.
“The contestant must be a UAE resident and they can post the content in any language, as we will give subtitles in English and also in Arabic for the concerned videos,” Zenofer concluded.
