Sharjah Criminal Court hears theft case

The Sharjah Criminal Court heard the case of seven Asian suspects charged with stealing 218 boxes of clothes from a commercial company after breaking into it at night through breaking the locks.

According to the Public Prosecution investigations, the seven suspects attacked the company on 28 July 2019, broke its door lock and stole 218 clothes boxes.

The suspects from the first to the fourth confessed to the theft while the sixth confessed that he only carried the boxes which he did not know they were stolen, which was confirmed by the other suspects.

The fifth suspect, a warehouse owner, confessed he allowed the suspects to store the boxes inside his warehouse, as a rental, for Dhs2000 per week, stressing he did not know the boxes were stolen.

The court adjourned the case to October 28 to notify the seventh suspect and hear witnesses.
