Students at the Rashid Centre for People of Determination have been receiving prominent personalities from different fields around the world every now and whose aim is to show support for the people of determination.
Recently, Valerie Messika, owner and founder of jewellery house Messika Foundation, visited the Rashid Centre accompanied by a senior official from Siddiqi & Sons and spent time with the students and also learned about its therapeutic, training and rehabilitation services that benefit 280 students of different ages, disabilities and nationalities. They were accompanied by Maryam Othman, Director General of Rashid Centre on the tour at the centre’s sections and classes and expressed her admiration for the students’ creativity at the centre and their ability to formulate their ideas in an innovative way.
Maryam Othman, Director General of the centre expressed her profound gratitude and appreciation for the initiative of the jewellery house ‘Messika’ and their local partner. “I thank the foundation for giving the children the opportunity to meet with Valerie Messika and showcase their talent and skills in various fields being impart at the centre as part of its training and rehabilitation programme for the students of determination,” she said.
Valerie Messika expressed her admiration for the students’ creativity at the centre and their ability to formulate their ideas in an innovative way.
Registration for the 2019 Unity Run has been opened for public by the Al Noor Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities. The community can join the festivities and celebrate unity and inclusion in this special UAE Year of Tolerance. The unity Run will be held on Friday, 15th Nov 2019 at Dubai Silicon Oasis.
