Two Asians died and two others were wounded, as a sand motorbike overturned on Thursday evening in Al Badayer tourist area in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The Madam Police Station was alerted about the accident at 6:33pm. It was reported that a sand bike carrying four people overturned while climbing a hill in the tourist area of Badayer. Accordingly, the traffic patrols and a national ambulance moved to the scene and transferred the injured to Al Dhaid Hospital.
Through the preliminary examination, it was found out that the accident took place as a result of excessive speed, which led the bike to swerve downhill.
The bike’s driver was unable to control it, so it reportedly flipped over several times towards the slope of the sand hill. This caused death of the driver and one of his companions (38 years), on the spot, while the other two were seriously injured and taken to Al Dhaid Hospital.
