Sharjah announces 50% discount on all traffic fines

The Sharjah Police have announced a 50% discount on traffic fines in the emirates.
The police also said the all traffic points will be abolished. The decision comes into effect from Oct.22. Motorists can avail this offer till Jan.31, 2020.
Major General Saif Al-Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, expressed his deep appreciation for the support of the Sharjah Police General Command from the wise leadership, and its response to all proposals that contribute to support its efforts to enhance security and safety, and encourage members of the community to abide by regulations and laws by easing their burden and enable them to settle their legal status and reduce irregularities.

In this regard, the Chief of Sharjah Police announced that the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah has responded to the proposals submitted to it by the General Directorate of Sharjah Police, issuing a decision to reduce traffic violations in Sharjah by 50% with the abolition of all traffic points associated with those violations, as of Tuesday 22nd of October 2019 to 31st of January 2020.
Major General Al Shamsi called on all members of the community and the owners of vehicles to benefit from this decision, and expedite the payment of their violations during the period specified therein, and settle their legal conditions, expressing his aspirations to be motivated to reduce traffic violations, and abide by regulations and laws that take care of their rights and ensure their security and safety.
