As many as 21 workers were injured on Wednesday evening after the bus carrying them towards Sharjah met with an accident on the Emirates Road.
The competent authorities of Sharjah Police transported the injured to the hospital and facilitated the traffic at the spot.
Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Alay Al Naqbi, Director of Traffic and Patrols Department at Sharjah Police, said police patrols, the National Ambulance teams and teams of the Dubai police were rushed to the scene immediately after the Central Operations Room received a tip off about the incident.
Injured were taken to hospital and it was found that one worker was critically injured whereas 4 passengers were moderately injured and 16 received minor injuries.
Al Naqbi said driver's lack of attention and concentration caused the accident.
He said bus swerved after driver lost control of steering wheel.
Al Naqbi called on drivers to abide by the speed limit on the road and to stay alert while driving.
