Ahmed Ali Al Makhmari, the deceased father’s uncle, said his nephew, had 7 children including 4 sons and 3 daughters, adding that he gave the finest example of courage while trying to rescue his sons.
The father and his two sons went for swimming in Al Shalila Sea at around 5pm on Saturday.
The sea swept away the elder son Mohammed but his father managed to rescue him to safety.
But the undercurrents dragged the other son Saif farther into the sea. The father rushed back, starting to swim immediately again in an attempt to rescue his other son, but unfortunately it was in vain.
Consequently the father and his son Saif drowned.
