DHAID: Under the directives of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the cities of the Middle Region in the emirate are witnessing a significant urban renaissance and a state of recovery, supported by an integrated infrastructure clearly reflected in their roads, sanitation, and a number of projects that are being under construction at cost of Dhs500 million
The Department of Public Works in Sharjah has announced a number of developmental projects in the cities of the Central Region that aim to keep abreast of the great development taking place in the emirate, and in line with its development plans
Ali bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Executive Council Member and Chairman of Sharjah Public Works Department, said, “Thanks to the support and directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah to the develop the cities of the Middle Region of the emirate, the Department has been building since the beginning of this year a total of 44 projects related to urban development and its sustainability, infrastructure development in line with the emirate’s overall development plans to meet the needs of expansion and demographic spread.”
He also praised the efforts of municipalities and municipal councils in Al Dhaid, Al Madam, Maliha, and Al Bataih, as well as all government departments that contribute to the accomplishment of these projects through the efforts and the fruitful cooperation.
Recently, Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi inaugurated the headquarters of Sharjah Media City, Shams, which is located in Tawi Al Masnad, Sharjah.
Also present during the inauguration were Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council, and Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council.
