The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) indicated in a statement issued on Friday that the temperature over the month of November will be moderate during daytime and cool by night.
The average minimum and maximum temperatures is expected to decrease by 4-6ºC as compared to October.
The Centre pointed out that the country may be affected this month by the extension of the Siberian high altitude, especially during its second half. This could lead to a continued decline in temperatures, especially during nighttime in the mountainous areas and in some inland parts. Moreover, the country may also be affected by the extension of the transit depressions that could be accompanied by cold air masses in the upper atmosphere. With the intensifying of the upper depressions, the country will be affected by a state of atmospheric instability that may lead to formation of clouds and rainfall, as well as dust-stirring winds.
The NCM also noted that the prevailing winds during this month will be southeasterly in the morning becomes over daytime westerly-northwesterly.
The winds speed will be active on some days during November, especially with the cumulus clouds, as the highest wind speed reached 97 km/h in Ruwais in 2013, according to the NCM.
The relative humidity average is said to increase, particularly in the early morning allowing opportunity to fog formation over some parts in the country.
The average temperatures expected during the month of November will be between 24-25ºC for the minimum, and 29-31ºC for the maximum, the NCM added.
In the meantime, the Centre has expected that the weather on Saturday will be partly cloudy to fair in general with another decrease in temperatures. Humid by night and Sunday morning over some inland areas. Moderate to fresh northwesterly winds, with a speed of 20–30, reaching 40km/hr. Sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate in Sea of Oman.
It also said that weather on Sunday is expected to be fair to partly cloudy in general. Humid by night and Monday morning over some coastal and inland areas with probability of fog formation westward. Light to moderate northwesterly to northeasterly winds, freshening at times, with a speed of 18–28, reaching 38km/hr. Sea will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.
