27-year-old employee robs a man while he was leaving the mosque

A 27-year-old GCC employee, connived with fugitives to steal Dhs2,500 from an Asian when he left a mosque.

The Dubai Public Prosecution referred the incident to the court.

According to Investigations, the victim was coming out of the mosque when the suspect attacked him and took Dhs2,500 from his shirt pocket and his identity card. The suspect later threw the victim’s identity card on the ground.

The victim added one of the suspects carried a knife which he lifted over his head to scare him and slapped him on the face before they fled.

A corporal in the Dubai Police testified that investigations proved the suspect had a thefts record in the same criminal manner, in addition to robbing policemen.

The suspect initially denied the incident upon arrest and interrogation, but the victim identified him.
