Mom, along with compatriots, throws stillborn into Dubai trash bin

Two women and a man faced trial at the Dubai Court of First Instance for allegedly trashing a stillborn, on Thursday.
According to public prosecution records, one of the women, 35 and Filipina was involved in a sexual relation with unidentified men. She went ahead to get rid of the baby’s body that was born dead with the aid of a 50-year-old compatriot. A male defendant, a 38-year-old Pakistani, disposed the body in the garbage.
The body was found in Al Barahah area of Deira and reported at the Bur Dubai Police station.
The case dates back to June 2019.
The three defendants are facing charges of failing to report crime to the right authorities. In addition to that, the women are accused for overstaying their visas.
The mother of the child pleaded not guilty, claiming she lost consciousness after the baby was born.
Authorities could not show if the child was a boy or a girl
The three defendants have been placed in detention and the case adjourned to December 5.
