A gardener with the Ras Al Khaimah Police was saved with the help of CCTV cameras after he suffered a heart attack while on duty.
The farmer was working with the police for the past 29 years.
A CCTV in the vicinity of his work captured the moment when the Indian national Othman Mohammad was down with the attack. He was rushed to the Al Qasimi Hospital for surgery. The doctors revealed that the seven-hour long surgery was a success.
Othman requested to travel to India to have the surgery done in the presence of his family and parents, but due to circumstances it was not possible.
The Ras Al Khaimah Police decided to host Othman’s parents in the UAE.
The Ras Al Khaimah Police General Headquarters embraced the highest standards of tolerance by co-operating with the Sharjah Charity Association by bringing in and hosting the parents of Othman.
Major General Ali Abdullah Bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, affirmed that the Ministry of Interior and Ras Al Khaimah Police endeavour to apply humanitarian standards and reflect the honourable image of the police and security work in the country, which embodies the wise vision of our leadership that urges tolerance and spreads love and harmony among everyone living in the UAE.
The Chief of RAK Police explained that the operation that took place in Al Qasimi Hospital and lasted 7 hours was successful.
This generous initiative comes from the RAK Police General Headquarters to effectively translate into a realistic fulfilment touch in recognition of the years of service of the farmer Othman. Major General Ali Abdullah Bin Alwan Al Nuaimi visited his home to check on him, carrying with him the message of loyalty and presented a bouquet.
