The Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at Sharjah Police inaugurated two service centres for completing vehicle testing transactions in Al Yarmouk and Al Ruqa Al Hamra, Sharjah City.
The first centre was inaugurated in Al Yarmouk City in partnership and co-operation with Osool and Enoc, while the second centre in Al Ruqa Al Hamra was inaugurated in co-operation and partnership with Osool and Rafid Automotive Solutions.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Saif Rashid Al Suwaidi, Head of Vehicle Licensing Department at Sharjah Police, the inauguration of the two centres came as p[art of Sharjah Police’s keenness on boosting the services provided to the public in line with the government’s orientation to make customers happy.
To serve this end, Al Yarmouk vehicle inspection station was inaugurated in Al Yarmouk area to complete light vehicle inspection and licensing transactions with a view to increasing the emirate’s vehicle inspection service centres, he said.
Al Suwaidi pointed out that a traffic system was also introduced to provide integrated services including inspection, registration and transfer of vehicles, noting that these services are completed in a record time as per the highest quality and safety standards.
These services came as part of a motor check project in Al Ruqa Al Hamra in partnership and co-operation with Rafid Automotive Solutions and Enoc. The centre provides vehicle inspection, registration and insurance services for the public and government agencies. It also provides an easy device for paying traffic fines and renewing vehicle licence electronically, thereby helping simplify customer procedures.
