The UAE celebrated its 48th National Day with great fervour and gaiety all across the seven emirates on Monday.
Fireworks, a much-awaited attraction of festivals and key events in Dubai, dazzled residents and visitors as part of citywide celebrations surrounding the UAE’s 48th National Day.
The Burj Khalifa lit up to mark the UAE’s 48th National Day. The spectacular light shows were witnessed near the world’s tallest building. The venue was jam-packed.
The Burj Khalifa Twiiter account said, “With pride in our hearts and smiles on our faces, let us cherish UAE's memorable journey so far and the journey yet to come.Happy #UAENationalDay #BurjKhalifa…”
The Beach in Dubai also came up with fireworks to thrill residents and shoppers.

At the Dubai Fesitival City, thousands saw the breathtaking laser and fireworks show marking the national occasion.

In Abu Dhabi, fireworks thrill crowds at Abu Dhabi Corniche while a light show from Emirates Palace was an icing on the cake.
The celebrations included a 10-minute fireworks show, ‘pyro flyboard’ performers, ‘pyro jet-ski’ performances, and a laser and light show.
There were fireworks at the Zayed Heritage Festival in Al Wathba.
The various celebrations were created by DCT Abu Dhabi to bring together the Emirate’s residents and visitors to commemorate the 48th UAE National Day and create an unforgettable experience in a family-friendly atmosphere.
A large audience also witnessed fireworks over the Hazza Bin Zayed stadium in Al Ain.
The National Day celebrations covered various aspects of the country’s evolution over the years and showcase the Emirati lifestyle, hospitality, heritage and culture, as well as feature world-class entertainment and events that will highlight UAE’s longstanding reputation as a year-round family destination.
