The UAE rain in pictures

Heavy rain swept Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Fujairah, Al Ain, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain on Wednesday morning, much to the surprise of morning commuters.

The rain brought the temperature down by a few notches in the emirate of Sharjah. Some schools in Dubai called it off on Wednesday owing to heavy downpour.

Residents reported that some areas were flooded in Sharjah. Traffic was moving at a slow pace in some areas. Heavy traffic congestion was reported from Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman.
