His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has announced that the year 2020 will be year of getting ready for UAE’s 50th anniversary, the Golden Jubilee year.
Sheikh Mohammed took to Twitter and said, “Brothers and sisters, the UAE is approaching its fiftieth anniversary in 2021 and we want it to be the year of the big start…we celebrate the fifty years and launch the next fifty year’s march... the preparation will be in 2020... the next year will be the year of preparation and preparation to make a big leap in our march… 2020 will be the year of getting ready for the UAE’s 50th Anniversary...”
“We announce today next year, the year of preparation for UAE’s 50th anniversary… We will develop our plans, projects and thinking. 50 years ago, our founding fathers designed our lives today. So, we want next year to design the future of generations to come in the next fifty years.”

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, also shared Tweets on the 50 years strategy.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed said, “My brother Mohammed Bin Rashid launched the biggest national strategy for the new year, to be in 2020, the year of preparation for the next fifty year ... a year that, God willing, will constitute a qualitative turning point in our blessed path... we write new chapters in our accelerating economic, social and development engines to be the best in the world in the next fifty years.”
