In celebration of the Bahrain 48th National Day, the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa lit up in the colours of the Bahraini flag in Dubai on Monday.
The Burj Khalifa’s official Twitter account said, “Burj Khalifa lights up in honour of Bahrain National Day, wishing all the people of the Kingdom of Bahrain a year filled with prosperity and success.”
In Abu Dhabi, prominent buildings and landmarks were also lit with the colours of the Kingdom's flag.

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan sent a message of congratulations to King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain on the occasion of his country's National Day.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, also sent congratulatory messages to the Bahaini King.

On Monday, Abu Dhabi Airports celebrated the National Day of Bahrain through a number of events and activities.
Passengers arriving from Bahrain at Abu Dhabi International Airport were greeted with Bahraini flags.
Ahmed Al Shamisi, Acting Chief Operations Officer of Abu Dhabi Airports, said, "The UAE and Bahrain enjoy close and warm historical ties, and we have sought to recognize their importance to us in Abu Dhabi through welcoming passengers in a festive spirit today.”
