Abu Dhabi Police announce 50% discount on traffic fines

The General Command of Abu Dhabi Police announced a 50% discount on traffic violations committed in the emirate before the date of December 22, 2019, with the cancellation of black points for a period of 3 months.
Abu Dhabi Police launched the initiative for early payment of traffic violations, which will start applying from December 22, according to which the traffic violations value, the value of the vehicle impounded and the delay fine (if any) will be reduced by 35%, in case of payment within 60 days of the date of the violation.
In the event of payment after the lapse of 60 days from the date of the traffic offense and one year after the commission of the traffic offense, the driver will receive a 25% reduction in the value of the violation.
In the event of payment after a year has passed since the traffic violation was committed, the driver will not receive any discount.
Abu Dhabi Police clarified that the above terms apply to all traffic violations, except for the violations mentioned in the table of serious violations. Also, the reduction does not include what is decided or taken by the traffic courts or their deputies.
Major General Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, expressed his deep appreciation for the support that the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police in finding the rational leadership to enhance security and safety, and motivate community members to adhere to the laws and regulations, and their continued interest in alleviating their burdens, and enabling them to settle their fines legally and reduce violations.
Major General Faris called on all drivers to take advantage of this decision, to speed up the payment of their violations during the period specified thereunder, and to settle their legal status, expressing his aspirations that this be a motivation for them to reduce traffic violations, and to adhere to the systems and laws that take care of their rights and ensure their security.
