The 103rd open number plates auction Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) organised at InterContinental Dubai Festival City Hotel on Saturday has raised Dhs19.751 million.
Plate (S 70) was the sales topper and was exchanged for Dhs1.9 million followed by (AA 99) which was sold for Dhs1.82 million ahead of (H 333), which brought back AED970 thousand.
RTA offered about 90 fancy plates for bidding in this auction comprising of two, three, four and five-digit plates of categories (AA-H-I-K-L-M-N-O-P-Q-R-S-T-U-V).
Through offering distinctive licensing plates at open or online auctions, RTA is seeking to provide a neutral and transparent platform that avails fair opportunities to all bidders. Such plates are appealing to passionate clients as they symbolise important events in their lives.
