Indian universities invite Dubai students

 The Indian High School (IHS), Dubai, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Infrastructure Technology Research and Management, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, focusing on student exchange, scholarships for IHS students and internship opportunities.

The MoUs were signed during the ‘Study in Gujarat’ roadshow in Dubai, headed by Indian state of Gujarat’s Minister of Education Bhupendrasinh Chudasama. Also present on the occasion were Principal Secretary for Higher and Technical Education, Government of Gujarat, Anju Sharma and Consul General of India in Dubai, Vipul.

An interactive session was hosted with the students at the Indian High School, Dubai, to advocate the benefits of the ‘Study in Gujarat.’ Education Counsellors from the participating universities in Gujarat were also present and provided information about the courses and curriculum of various institutes of Gujarat.

Speaking on the occasion, IHS Chairman Girish Jethwani said, “It was a delight to have Bhupendrasinh Chudasama and Anju Sharma speak with IHS students about the colossal education opportunities Gujarat has to offer. I am thankful to Consul General as well as to the Ministry of Education, Gujarat for bringing ‘Study in Gujarat’ initiative to Dubai for our students to benefit from.

Renwick Dsouza, Asst. Head Boy, said, “It was an honour having Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama at The Indian High School, representing the Study in Gujarat initiative and advocating it.

“The students will undoubtedly benefit from learning about the variety of universities and courses offered in Gujarat and it will definitely make the students consider Gujarat for their further studies.”

Aditi Kichloo, Asst. Head Girl, said, “It was amazing to hear about the emphasis on sustainability in Gujarat Universities, especially it being such a modern issue.
