On Sunday, different areas of the UAE experienced moderate to heavy rain, and dust resulting in lower horizontal visibility of less than 2000 metres due to the active southeast winds blew at a speed of 40 kilometres/h.
The dust began to gather at 12:20am and lasted until 6pm.
Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah witnessed rain mixed with snow and the lowest temperature recorded on Sunday morning was 3.7°C at 4:30am, while the highest temperature was 22.8°C in Kalba at 11:45.
The National Centre of Meteorology NMC requested road users and motorists to take caution, due to the low horizontal visibility caused by the active southeast winds.
The NMC expects Monday weather to be partly cloudy in general and sometimes cloudy in particular east and north. Winds are expected to blow northwesterly, moderate to active, and sometimes strong on the sea at speeds ranging between 25 to 35 up to 55 kilometres/h on the sea.
The sea is expected to be very turbulent in the Arabian Gulf. While turbulence and medium waves is expected on the Sea of Oman.
“Tuesday's weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy, and the temperatures tend to rise slightly, while the relative humidity will increases during the night and on Wednesday morning on some of the interior areas, with an opportunity to form fog or light fog.”, according to NMC.
Light northwestern to moderate winds will blow at speeds ranging between 18 to 28 up to 38 kilometres/h on the sea.
The sea is expected to be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and light to medium in the Sea of Oman.
The centre predicts Wednesday's weather to be partly cloudy and the relative humidity will increase during the night and on Thursday morning in some of the interior areas, with an opportunity to form fog or light fog.
Winds will blow northeasterly becoming light northwesterly and moderate at a speed ranging between 18 to 28 up to 32 kilometres/h.
The sea is expected to be light to medium in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Thursday weather is expected to be partially cloudy, and relative humidity will increases during the night and on Friday morning in some of the interior areas, with an opportunity to form fog or light fog.
Winds are expected to blow northeasterly and will be northwesterly, light to moderate at a speed ranging between 15 to 25 up to 35 kilometres/h.
The sea will be light to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
