GCC national charged with killing compatriot in Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi Criminal Court looked into the case of a young GCC man charged with murdering a compatriot in a fight.

The court heard the testimony of the forensic expert who stated the victim was injured in the head and chest, indicating that the fatal injury was the result of a direct kick on the right side.

The suspect's lawyer said the anatomical status report stated that the death came after the heart and lungs had stopped functioning, while investigations revealed that the cause of death was fractures of the skull.

The forensic expert attributed the death of the victim to the assault he was exposed to, as well as to a fracture in the eighth rib of the deceased's chest, due to a collision with a solid body, which caused blood to spill from the back of the chest cavity.

She also said, "The kick the victim suffered caused an injury in the vicinity of the head area, where we found a bloody bruise behind the right ear, as seen by examination of radiographic images, and there was a bruise in the right temporal region and a branched fracture of the right thoracic bone.”
