Container truck falls on minibus, killing an Asian in Umm Al Quwain

An Asian died and another person was seriously injured when a container truck lost control and fell on a minibus in the Al-Qurn region in Umm Al Quwain.

The incident took place on Sunday evening.

A source in the General Command of Umm Al Quwain Police said that the operation room received an information about an accident in Al-Qurn region.

The information stated that two people were trapped in a minibus after the container truck fell on it.

Police patrols, Civil Defence, and national ambulance teams rushed to the site.

Rescue tools and equipment were used to remove the people trapped in the minibus.

The police said the accident resulted in the death of an Asian on the spot as a result of his severe injuries.

The other person was seriously injured and was rushed to hospital.

The body of the deceased was transferred to Sheikh Khalifa General Hospital for further legal procedures. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
