The Dubai Public Prosecution referred 4 Asians to court for forgery and the use of forged official documents.
Investigations indicated that the German embassy informed the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) that there were 3 passports that had been submitted to obtain a Schengen visa and wanted to enquire about them.
The second, third and fourth accused were caught through their sponsor. On being questioned about their passports, they said they handed them over to the first suspect to get the visas in return for money, amounting to Dhs23,000 per passport.
The first suspect then completed the procedures, as she specialised in forging passports and residency papers.
