Man charged with murdering wife over affair in Dubai

The Dubai Criminal Court is looking into the case of a 44-year-old Asian charged with premeditatedly murdering his wife in a fit of rage.

The suspect committed the crime after his wife's manager told him she was in a relationship with someone.

In Sept.2019 the victim’s manager sent a message to the suspect, who was in his country, through a social media platform and told him about his wife's affair.

The suspect immediately travelled to the UAE on a visit visa and headed to his wife's workplace and grilled her on the issue, but she became furious and they left the office together.

She had a bag containing a knife which she had purchased for her daughters and she had also planned to fly to her country the same day.

A dispute broke out between the suspect and his wife, in which she denied she was having an affair. During the altercation, she pushed the suspect several times, and he in turn pulled the knife out of her bag and stabbed her in the stomach and thigh, claiming her life.
