The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence conducted a new firefighting test at Jaheziya field, using a robot “TAF35” that operates with a remote control system.

The firefighting robot can simulate various methods that firefighters use to put out fires.
Brigadier General Mohamed Ibrahim Al Amri, Deputy Director of Abu Dhabi Civil Defence, said that the robot can be used to extinguish fires in industrial areas, tunnels, and closed parking lots by remote control within a distance of 300 metres.
The automatic firefighting experiment was also witnessed by Mubarak Al Zaabi, Senior Business Development Manager of Jaheziya Training Centre, and Lieutenant Colonel Ibrahim Jalal Al Baloushi.
