Woman injured after impersonator pushes her hard to the ground

An Arab manager, 28, impersonated an undercover policeman, stopped an Asian woman, 37, stole her money and pushed her down to the ground so hard that she broke her pelvis.
The incident, which the Dubai Public Prosecution referred to the courts of law, dated back to Dec.26, 2019 when the victim was on her way to a metro station.

The defendant, claiming to be an undercover policeman, then stopped her and asked her for her ID card.
The victim told the defendant that she did not hold an ID card but had a labour card.
The defendant then demanded her money and as she was taking out her purse, he snatched Dhs1,200 from it, grabbed the victim’s face and pushed her so hard she fell to the ground and fractured her pelvis. The defendant then ran away.
