Dust storm blankets many areas of UAE, motorists urged to remain cautious

A dust storm blanketed various areas of the country on Wednesday morning, dimming the horizontal visibility to a very low level in the inland and middle areas.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) in UAE took to its social media account to warn motorists regarding the dust storm and urged them to stay alert.

The NCM warned of the poor horizontal visibility caused by strong winds stirring up dust, appealing to the motorists whether driving on external or internal roads leading to those areas to exercise caution and adhere to traffic instructions.

The weather all around the UAE has warmed up in the last couple of days, changing the cool mornings to somewhat sunny ones.

The NCM also mentioned that the lowest temperature recorded this morning was 14.4 °C in Jais Mountain at 7am.
