A fire broke out in a pick-up truck in Sharjah on Sunday evening.
The pick-up was parked near Matajer Al Khan.
Children playing in the area noticed the fire and informed the authorities.
The Sharjah Police and Civil Defence teams immediately arrived at the site.
The Civil Defence team members controlled the fire in no time.
It was learnt that there was no one inside the vehicle at the time of the fire.
Eyewitnesses said people and cars parked near the site of the blaze were moved to safety.

An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
Police have urged motorists to carry out safety checks in their vehicles to avoid such incidents.
In December, a car caught fire in the Al Khan area of Sharjah. The Sharjah Police and Civil Defence team members doused the blaze.
The Sharjah Police operation room received a tipoff about the incident. Police patrols and ambulances were dispatched to the site.
A witness said the car suddenly erupted in flames, which were brought under control.
