Dubai Police return Dhs50,000 to traveller at airport in less than an hour

The Dubai Police helped a traveller recover his lost Dhs50,000 in less than an hour, after he lost the money at Dubai International Airport.
The Airport Security Team approached the Asian passenger before he was due to board the plane, and handed over the money to him. Apparently, the traveller was not even aware he had lost his money.
Brigadier Mohammed Ahmed Bin Dylan Al Mazroui, Director of the General Department of Airport Security at Dubai Police, said that a good Samaritan reported finding Dhs50,000 and Rs1,000.
"From our experience in such cases, the owner usually is either unaware that he or she is missing anything or searching for it around the airport,” Brig. Al Mazroui added.
Brig. Al Mazroui remarked that the foot patrols and search teams worked in tandem, and the traveller was identified in record time to be given back his money before leaving the country.
The Dubai Police teams emphasise their keenness to work tirelessly to ensure safety and security of all passengers and their belongings.
The passenger expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Dubai Police for their professionalism, and quick response in returning his money.
