The UAE business community continues to extend support to the country’s efforts to combat the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) through various contributions and initiatives. The gestures of support by the country’s private and public sector demonstrate the commitment of its business community to aid efforts to fight the global pandemic.
In another major philanthropic gesture, Emirati businessman Abdul Rahim Al Zarooni, Chairman of the Board of Al Zarooni Group, announced the donation of Dhs10 million to ensure all healthcare centres and clinics have adequate medical supplies during the current sensitive period.
Al Zarooni stressed the importance of UAE citizens contributing to the fight against the virus, noting that it is their national duty to come together to ensure the country remains a model for security, safety and happiness.
Abdulrahim Al Zarooni said, “There is a common responsibility that everyone should take part in, to double efforts and provide all that is required so the UAE remains a model in ensuring the best lifestyle for everybody who lives on its soil, as well as its visitors.”
Emirati family business group donates Dhs12 million worth of ambulances and medical equipment
Dar Al Ber Society today announced that an Emirati family business group has donated ambulances and medical equipment worth about Dhs12 million to support the efforts of authorities to combat the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Dar Al Ber Society said the donation it received includes 11 ambulance vehicles valued at Dhs7 million, 50 defibrillators worth Dhs2.5 million and 50 mechanical ventilators worth Dhs2.5 million. All the vehicles and equipment will be delivered to Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services.
The announcement seeks to support the UAE’s efforts to safeguard the health and safety of its citizens, residents and visitors and international efforts to combat the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Abdullah Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, CEO of Dar Al Ber Society, said the donation reflects the generosity inherent in Emirati culture and the country’s ethos of extending support in challenging times.
Al Falasi said Dar Al Ber welcomes donations from individuals, businesses and government entities in support of the preventive measures being taken in the UAE to contain the pandemic.
CEO of Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services Khalifa Hassan Al Darrai expressed his gratitude to the Emirati business community for their generous donations, which will significantly aid Dubai Ambulance’s efforts.
He said the support reflects the Emirati community’s spirit of solidarity and its loyalty towards the country and its leadership. He further said many Emirati businessmen have donated money towards ambulances and medical supplies. Al Darrai also thanked Dar Al Ber for their efforts and support.
