VIDEO: Sharjah Police chief plays football during ‘Stay at Home’ drive to stem spread of coronavirus

Commander in Chief of Sharjah Police Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi shared a video on social media of him practising football at his home during the “Stay at Home” initiative to stem the spread of coronavirus in the country.  

The video showed Major General Saif Al Zari having a complete control over the ball.

Authorities have urged residents to stay at home and follow the ministry’s orders regarding the National Sterilisation Programme.

Major General Saif Al-Zari expressed his appreciation for the response shown by the community members to the campaign for the national sterilisation programme that started at eight in the evening of Thursday in various regions of Sharjah in cooperation between the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Health and Community Protection.

He praised the commitment of the members of the public to the directions that were issued to them to stay in their homes, and restrict movement of vehicles as well as the moral support provided by many to the participants in the implementation of the campaign.

The Chief of Sharjah Police also thanked the participating teams for implementing the programme and their efforts in strengthening preventive measures aimed at protecting society.
