Now book an appointment for a COVID-19 test over the phone for just Dhs370

The Abu Dhabi Health Services Company "SEHA" has activated the registration and payment system allocated to conduct a coronavirus test at the Abu Dhabi Covid-19 Test Centre, through (SEHA application).

The application is available to all, through Android and iOS smart phones and tablets, as well as on SEHA website.

People who wish to subject Covid-19 test, are opted to pay the fees of Dhs370 electronically during the registration process through the application or complete registration and payment at the test centre, where a payment device is available. Cash will be unacceptable to prevent contact. After payment and registration, examinees will proceed with the test that takes a few minutes without leaving vehicle.

Speaking to Al Khaleej Newspaper, the sister publication of Gulf Today, Saif Dawood Al-Siksik, Director of Applications and Digital Transformation Department at SEHA, said that the priority in booking test dates is given to target groups, including pregnant women, senior citizens, people of determination, and those with chronic diseases, and those who have symptoms of the virus.

“Dates are booked via the bilingual application (Arabic-English) or by calling 8007171 in just a couple of minutes. Examinee’s name, Emirate ID number, email address and mobile number are mandatory requirements to complete the registration process followed by choosing a date that suits him/her, who will receive verification SMS of the booked date,” he added, noting that those groups are exempted from paying test fees.

Al-Siksik has also revealed that the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, will have two centers in Al Ain City, two centers in Al Dhafra Region, and two other centers in Abu Dhabi City, in addition to the Zayed Sports Center which was recently opened bringing the total number the test centers to 7 in Abu Dhabi only.

The application would be updated to include all centers to allow customers choose the suitable place and time to them, he added.

He advised community members willing to conduct the Covid-19 test, to walk to those specialized centers and not to go to health centers and hospitals as a preventive measure, to prevent the spread of infection.

The test centre in Abu Dhabi witnessed for the third day in a row a large turnout from the community members who were keen to subject the test consecutive day. The number of cases that subject to the test reached 683 on the second day, he added.
