VIDEO: One death and 241 more coronavirus cases reported in UAE

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention announced another 241 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, bringing the total number of patients to 1,505.
According to the spokesperson for the UAE health sector, Dr Farida Al Hosani, the country has recorded one more death, bringing the country’s death toll to 10.
She said a 53-year-old Arab expat, who tested positive for COVID-19 and died due the complications from the coronavirus, raising the death toll to 10 cases in the UAE.
The Ministry of Health also announced the recovery of 17 people infected with the virus. The total number of cured cases is 125.
Dr Al Hosani expressed sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery for all patients.
The ministry and other local health authorities called upon the public to adopt healthy practices to safeguard against contracting contagious diseases and adhere to social distancing for the safety and wellbeing of all.
While we recommend mask wearing, “we urge the public to continue practicing other essential preventive measures like washing your hands, not touching your face and practise social distancing,” Dr Al Hosani stressed.
Dr Al Hosani hailed the concerted efforts and cooperation witnessed across the country over the past the days towards the National Disinfection Programme.
"More than 70 per cent of the UAE people, including Emiratis, residents and visitors, have remarkably committed themselves to the programme in a way that facilitated the efforts of the sterilisation teams," she added, thanking all UAE people, police and security departments, civil defence teams and municipalities for their efforts to ensure the success of the programme.
Speaking also at the briefing, Humaid Al Muhairi, Ministry of Economy spokesperson, said the ministry has set up a number of working groups to deal with the impact of the coronavirus on the economic activities, assess repercussions and address them.
