The Department of Economic Development in Ras Al Khaimah confiscated 2,598 masks which did not meet specifications.
The department stressed the men’s and women’s salons that it is necessary to follow preventive and precautionary measures, the most important of which is to receive customers with deadlines and not to allow them to wait in the salon, sterilize tools and document the sterilization process.
Dr Abdul Rahman Al Shayeb, Director General of the Department, pointed out that the department confiscated a large number of masks that do not confirm to specifications from various outlets, and directed men’s salons and women’s beauty centres in the emirate of the necessity of wearing masks and gloves as a precautionary measure to prevent the transmission of any infection to customers, to receive customers in salon, not leaving any customer on hold, and accordingly, the date for obtaining the service will be got in advance by phone or other electronic means.
Al Shayeb stressed the need to sterilize men’s and women’s salons, equipment and tools used periodically in order to preserve the health and safety of all employees and customers.
Separately, the Integrated Transport Centre of the Department of Municipalities and Transport launched a free “bus on demand” service through the smart application “Abu Dhabi Healthcare Link” for employees working in the health sector, to transfer them between their homes and their workplaces in Abu Dhabi city, from 6.00pm to 8.00am.
The Centre said this comes in recognition of the great efforts made by medical personnel and workers in health care facilities, in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, in dealing with the Corona virus (Covid 19).
Separately, The National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah, RAKBANK, announced on Tuesday further plans to provide financial relief to individuals, SMEs, and corporates impacted by the economic consequences of the coronavirus, COVID-19.
