The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (Mohap) announced it performed 40,000 Covid-19 tests in the past 48 hours, which revealed 331 new coronavirus cases bringing the total number of cases to 2,990.
The Ministry also announced that 29 cases fully recovered from the coronavirus, after receiving treatment, bringing the total recovered cases to 268.
The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the families of an Arab and an Asian expats who tested positive for COVID-19 and died due to complications. This brings total death toll to 14.
Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha), the UAE’s largest healthcare network, announced the opening of 13 additional drive-through coronavirus (COVID-19) testing facilities, following the first opening in Zayed Sports City, Abu Dhabi.

This follows the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of the UAE community, and curbing the spread of COVID-19.
World powers scrambled on Thursday to build a global response to the human tragedy and once-in-a-century economic collapse caused by the epidemic, as death tolls in the US and Europe soared higher.
The global death toll passed 90,000 and the number of worldwide cases since it spread from China earlier this year topped 1.5 million, according to an AFP tally.
Of the 1,519,260 declared cases from 192 countries, at least 312,100 are now considered recovered.
